Ik basti thi dil walon ki
Jahan chand aur sooraj rehtay thay
Kuch sooraj mun ka pagal tha
Kuch chand bhi shokh chanchal tha
Basti basti phirtay thay
Har pal hunstay rehtay thay
Phir ik din donon rooth gaye
Aur saray sapnay toot gaye
Ab chand bhi us waqt aata hai
Sooraj jub so jata hai
Badal sab say kehtay hain
Sooraj uljha sa rehta hai
Chand kay saath sitaray hain
Par sooraj tanha rehta hai.
